Here on South Georgia kings share their coastal range with reindeer introduced by Norwegian whalers. Today there are some 3000 in two herds up from 20 that were introduced between 1911 and 1925.
King penguins Aptenodytes patagonicus are the most stately,regal, and colorful,penguin.King are the second largest penguin species and are found predominately in the sub-Antarctic islands.
